Galapagos: Yacht Darwin Day 1-3

After spending a few days in Puerto Ayora, we left for a week long boat cruise upon the Darwin. This was where we got to see the majority of the wildlife that the Galapagos are so famous for.

The red dots on the map below show where we went on the cruise.

Originally I was going to put all 7 days into 1 post, but by day 3 it was already obnoxiously long! Oops!

Day 1: Bachas Beach, Santa Cruz Island

 I'm on a boat.

 Alberto, our tour guide.

Shell of a Lobster.

 Elise.

 Sally Light-Footed Crab.

 Our boat, the Darwin.

Land Iguana.

We normally didn't run into a lot of other tour groups, but on this day we were on the island at the same time as one of the larger touring boats.

The shininess of the rock is from sea lion excrement. After years of walking on it, it polished the rocks.

 Such pretty colors!!

Swallow-Tailed Gull.

Finch eating an Opuntia.

One last land iguana.

Santa Fe Island

Swimming with sea lions.
