academia.

Well I've officially had all my classes and I think this semester is going to be a lot of fun.

Monday was our first day and I had my masterpieces of Italian opera class as well as environmental science. I think my opera class is going to be super interesting! Our teacher is very passionate about music and seems like he could talk about it for days! :] We're also going to two operas over the course of the semester. We're seeing both Tosca and Mefistofele. I'm SUPER excited! My environmental science class I think is going to be easy. My teacher is Swedish and I think he teaches all the science courses at the school. Mind you there's only about 3 of them. I also had my lab for environmental science. It's at the top floor of my school which is about 9 flights of stairs. I'll definitely have to get used to that!

Tuesday I had my intro to Italian culture class. I think that will be a fun class. At one point in the semester we get to do a wine tasting! Delicious!

Finally today I had my art of Rome class. This is by far my favorite of all the classes. It's taught on site so I'm going to get to learn about a bunch of art as I'm standing in front of it. Today we went to the Pantheon and the statue of Marcus Aurelius on Capitoline Hill. It was stunning up there! Next week we're going to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. If you come to visit me get ready for a lot of facts!

Well I just wanted to fill you in! The sun is shining, and it's gorgeous! I'm going to go give my camera a workout!!

Ciao!
